Blizzard posts the following message on a FAQ anti-gold selling site: “Players who buy gold are supporting spamming, botting, and keylogging – activities that diminish the gameplay experience for everyone else.” Is that, in fact, true?
The fact is: in this business, just like in any other, rotten apples are unfortunately widespread. Another fact: Gaming fun is not completely dependent on which level and equipment your char possesses. Yet another fact is that games like WoW, Aion, and similarly built MMORPGs are structured „unfair“ to begin with: those of you that do not need to work and have no other responsibilities (school, family, etc…) can grab the advantage simply by heavily employing their most precious resource: time.
Is it “unethical” to want to keep up with friends and opponents?
Those of us that want to keep up often have no other choice than to turn to professional “development” help. We can’t find anything objectionable about offering or using such services. However, we agree with the game producers that scammers and swindlers should be stopped.
