So what’s going on in Aion?

Well, this game has turbulent development behind it. One thing’s been made clear, however: Out of all MMOGs that were to usurp World of Warcraft’s throne, Aion has been by far the most successful – WoW is, however, still undefeated. After a turbulent start and having overcome a few pitfalls, “Aion – The Tower of Eternity“ is meanwhile considered to be a fully-developed and successful MMOG. Aion survived the hype and has become a game worthy of notice. Graphically as well as from the gaming feel (fly – free as a bird!), Aion can in some aspects offer even more than WoW.

One aspect that Aion isn’t dominant in: There isn’t enough PvE content for gamers that have reached level 50.  Those of you that play Aion casually, around 1-3 hours daily, will be able to play this game for a long time without running out of things to do.  Power gamers, however, will need to remember that patience is a virtue – but new game content will be coming (Aion 2.0)!  For many gamers, PvP is the only true form of MMOGaming… and with Aion, you can’t complain: The PvP is fantastic.

NCSoft is currently introducing new account services for Aion.  Finally, you can change your character name, appearance, and gender again after having chosen them the first time around.  The only downside in that the services aren’t free (we remember that from WoW).

Good thing we introduced www.mmozone.de in our last newsletter; since you could see how the Lich King was defeated for the first time world-wide by the US guild, “Blood Legion.”  That was the normal raid.  In 25 player mode, the Lich King was struck down for the first time by a European guild – however via (apparently inadvertently) an assist of a bug (which is why the kill was made void by Blizzard and the guild penalized).

Yeah, with the last WoW patch (3.3.2) the Frost Wing Halls are now open to anyone who wants to go toe-to-toe with the Lich King.  And to set things straight: Your gaming fun should not get spoiled by some high-end guilds that get their Lich King kill quicker than you and your guild.  Wrath of the Lich King is only over when you’re ready for it to be over! (And then there’s Cataclysm.)

Star Trek Online tested on the fly: Check it out!

Good news: We haven’t had any trouble with the introduction of the new Battle.net accounts. That means that our delivery speed for WoW-Gold, WoW-Leveling, and WoW-Items remains at its regular peak. In order for us to deliver as quickly as usual, like with Power Leveling for example, please make sure your account has already been converted to a Battle.net account to avoid any complications. (In case you haven’t done so already) If you forgot to do so, then you will receive a message from us. So it’s all no sweat!

For the latecomers: What’s a Battle.net Account, and what is it good for, and how do I get it?

Battle.net is the server network with which Blizzard sets up all its Online Multiplayer Modes. Without a Battle.net account, nothing works in World of Warcraft any more, effective immediately. The switch to a Battle.net account is not a dramatic matter and is, of course, free. It apparently also holds a few advantages over the old account style. In the future, you can use your Battle.net account as your central login for all Battle.net games. (WoW, Starcraft 2, Diablo 3,…) With the switch, the in game friends list is also simplified, you won’t have character names, but rather account names in your friend’s list. Preheat oven to 175°C. Either use muffin cups or some sort of muffin form, which should be thoroughly greased. Grate the chocolate into little pieces. Mix the butter with the sugar and throw in those eggs. Mix the flower with the baking powder and mix that with the butter cream you just made and throw in the milk. Fill the forms halfway with the dough, and sprinkle the chocolate pieces over it. Finally, put in the rest of the dough. When the muffins in the oven are golden-yellow, they’re perfect and can be taken out of the oven.

First of all: Blizzard announces the new WoW expansion pack: “Cataclysm!”

The good news: Deathwing is back! Accompanied by volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and maelstroms to put Azeroth back under the yoke, and turn it outside in! But… for what? The WoW Community has been longing for the flying mounts that were introduced in “The Burning Crusade” to be functional on the old continents (Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms) for quite a while now. Thanks be to the ultimate evil dragon aspect of Deathwing, the newest expansion pack will knead the classic WoW world to make it seem just as new as the coming expansion set, and make sure it is viable for flying. Since it’ll be so great back on the old continents, the Goblins (Horde) that were driven off of their home islands will get washed up in the classic world. In addition, the dark Worgs (Alliance) will surface, and the earth is spitting out new Dungeons & Dragons, (excuse the pun) and viola, you’ve got everything you need to add a new episode to the suspense-filled successful World of Warcraft saga. Will level 85 by the highest attainable level? Probably not… The only “bad” news: The addictive potential of WoW will not let up in the future.

The 3.1 content patch for Wrath of the Lich King gets the easter fever going! The gates of the ancient titan stronghold of Ulduar have now been swung open, and what comes marching out? New pets, a dual talent specialization system, (also known as the “dual-spec”) new quests for the Argent Dawn tournament, and of course, the Tier 8 armor set. Looks like our power levelers have got more work to do!

Ulduar? A Problem? It’s all a question of being dressed for the occasion!

What do you need to be well equipped for a new adventure? Go to Account, then Manage Account and click the “Forgot your Password?” link. Enter your account name and the answer to your secret question. This automatically sends a new password to your e-mail address which you can then use to log in.
